Privacy Policy
In one sentence: WhipLash has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no third-party trackers, and it never asks for or stores a wallet address, password, private key or recovery phrase.
1. Who is responsible
The WhipLash app is published by WhipLash347. For any privacy question, write to privacy@whiplashapp.biz.
2. What the app stores on your device
The app keeps a small counter for each guide section you open, saved in the app's own local storage on your device. These counters contain only a section name (for example sdex) and a number. They are not linked to you, they are not transmitted on their own, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. What the app sends to our server
When the view counter service is enabled, opening a guide section calls a single function on our backend that adds one to the running total for that section. The request carries the section identifier and nothing else. There is no user identifier, no device identifier, no advertising identifier and no account, so the totals cannot be traced back to a person or a device.
That backend is hosted by Supabase (supabase.com), acting as our data processor. The stored data is one row per section holding the section name, a total, and the time it was last updated.
4. Technical logs
As with any request to any website or service, our hosting provider automatically processes the connecting IP address and the standard request headers in order to deliver a response and to protect the service from abuse. These are short-lived operational logs held by the provider. We do not read them to build profiles, and we do not combine them with the section totals described above.
5. What we never collect
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses.
- Wallet addresses, public or secret keys, recovery phrases, passwords or PINs. The app has no field to enter them and never requests them.
- Location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or calendar data.
- Advertising identifiers. The app serves no advertising and does no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- Analytics or attribution SDKs of any kind.
6. Third-party services mentioned in the guide
The guide explains how to use products operated by other companies, including Lobstr, MoneyGram, Coinflip, BTC Markets, Coinbase, MoonPay and NIUM. WhipLash is not affiliated with any of them, does not process transactions and does not endorse any provider. If you leave the app and use one of those services, that company's own privacy policy and terms apply.
7. Children
WhipLash is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, no such information is held.
8. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to return or erase. The section totals are anonymous aggregates and cannot be attributed to an individual. To clear the counters stored on your own device, uninstall the app. If you believe we hold something about you, write to privacy@whiplashapp.biz and we will answer within 30 days.
9. Data retention
The section totals are kept for as long as the app is published, because they are counters rather than records about people. On-device counters live on your device until you uninstall.
10. Security
All traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. The counter table cannot be read or written directly by the app, which may only call the single increment function described in section 3.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
